William R. (Bill) Penney

President and Founder of dbArchs Consulting L.P.

A graduate of University of Houston in Computer Science and Mathematics. Bill has spent over 25 years in the Data and Database architecture field.  Working for several companies in Industry, (Southwestern Bell, Tenneco, and Enron), and numerous Consulting Firms (Electronic Data Systems [EDS], dbIntellect, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, and CSC Consulting), Bill has continued to focus on the underlying data architecures and database designs throughout his career.  Relational Modeling, and Star Schema Modeling were 2 of the main building blocks leading to a focus on Data Architecture and Data Warehouse Architecture.  These have blended into Information Architecture which now also includes Service Oriented Architecture.  Bill has served in numerous roles, from DBA, to Developer, to Data Architect to Data Warehouse Architect, to Enterprise Architect throughout his career and has provided these services to 100's of clients in many different industries.  Bill lives in The Woodlands, Texas and has been married for 25 years.  He has been blessed with 4 children.
